Copilot moved to usage-based AI Credits in June 2026. Code completions stay unlimited. Chat, agent mode, and CLI agents consume credits. The new Max tier gives $200 of credits for $100 per month for heavy users.
Pick Copilot when you use multiple editors, work at a company with compliance requirements, or want the widest model selection.
